This Privacy Policy describes how AC Light (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application.
AC Light is an offline-first application designed for automotive air conditioning technicians to manage client records, vehicles, and service history. All data you enter into AC Light is stored locally on your device only, unless you explicitly enable the optional Google Drive sync feature described in Section 6. We do not operate any server, and we do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data.
AC Light stores the following information locally on your device:
None of this information is sent to us, to any server, or to any third party, except your own Google Drive account if you explicitly enable the optional sync feature (Section 6). We have no ability to view, access, or recover this data.
AC Light requests the following device permissions, used solely for the purposes described:

| Contacts (picker only) | When you choose to import a contact’s name and phone number into a client record, AC Light uses the Android system contact picker. AC Light does not request broad access to your contact list and cannot read your contacts outside of the specific contact you choose to import. |
All data is stored in the app’s private storage area on your device, which is not accessible to other apps. If you enable the optional App Lock feature, access to the app requires biometric authentication or your device PIN before the app can be opened.
AC Light includes an optional manual backup feature that creates a ZIP file containing your data (database and vehicle photos) on your device. You control where this file goes — the App uses the standard Android share function, and you choose the destination (for example, your own cloud storage or messaging app). We do not have access to this file at any point, and the App itself does not upload it anywhere automatically.
AC Light offers an additional, optional backup method: automatic synchronization to your own Google Drive account. This feature is off by default — nothing is sent anywhere unless you explicitly turn it on in Settings and sign in with your Google account.
If you choose to enable it:
This feature exists to help you avoid losing data if your device is lost, damaged, or replaced. Turning it on does not change how your data is stored locally — it remains in your device’s private storage as described in Section 4, in addition to being copied to your own Google Drive.
AC Light does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App uses on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit) for QR code scanning and text/license-plate recognition; this processing happens entirely on your device and does not send images or data to Google or any other party.
AC Light offers an optional one-time “Pro” purchase through Google Play Billing to unlock additional features. Purchase processing is handled entirely by Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment information. Please refer to Google Play’s own Privacy Policy for information on how Google handles payment data.
Because all data is stored only on your device:
AC Light is a business tool intended for use by automotive service professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

This policy applies specifically to the AC Light mobile application. AC Light operates entirely offline; no data described in this policy is ever transmitted to us or any third party unless you explicitly choose to share a backup file yourself, or enable the optional Google Drive sync feature (Section 6).
